What’s Happening in 2022?

This new high school football season might seem like it’s a long way off, but 2022 actually marks the 100th anniversary of interscholastic football. What that means is that high school football has been around for a century now, and this will be the first year that marks 100 years of the sport being played. This is also the first season where there are 100 sanctioned high school football conferences. This is due to the fact that there are currently 100 U.S. states in the country, though there will actually be 101 states in 2022, due to the addition of Puerto Rico.
